Pathetic and Embarrassing Lack of Basic Geography Knowledge

Now I know that knowledge of geography is not the sole domain of K-6 education, but isn't it so embarrassing that 33% of young Americans cannot identify Louisiana on a map? Maybe this startling study and the enclosed statistics will inspire more teachers to do a Geography brush-up unit or even organize a Geography Bee.
