What's Your Advice For A Career-Changing New Teacher?

On our Forum, we have a new teacher making a huge career change from the corporate world to the classroom, with the appropriate drop in salary. Such a change is surely noble, but what advice would you give a new teacher looking for support? Visit our Forum to offer suggestions of books, strategies, common pitfalls, and inspiration. make sure you have a great mentor who is willing to take the time needed to make sure your comfortable. if you get a mentor that isn’t helpful, or you don’t get one at all, request one from your principal. it can make or break your first year!

Hi there
As a teacher and career couselor I would say that I have got lot of true and helpful students who managed to get a position in the society. They respect me as a teacher of theirs. This feeling cannot be gain in any other field.
