How To Clear Clutter From Your Classroom

Tuesday June 10, 2008
Summer is the perfect opportunity to clear out your classroom and here are some helpful tips to help you do it as quickly and efficiently as possible.

When going through your cupboards, the most important question to ask is: When was the last time I used this item? If it hasn't been used in the prior school year, pass it on to a colleague who will be more apt to use it.

These are great tips for cleaning out your classroom. I feel that I can focus better when I know where everything is located. These organizational techniques should help you become a better teacher, because cleanliness makes you feel better and there is not a burden on your shoulders. It will also save you time during class, because you are not constantly searching for a particular item. You should know exactly where it is. This will help keep your students in order also, because they are not constantly searching for the crayons or where to turn in their homework.
