My Favorite Ice Breakers

Thursday August 14, 2008
It's natural for everyone to be nervous during Back to School time. That's why I use My Favorite Ice Breakers to thaw the group's first day jitters right off the bat.

For example, the Human Scavenger Hunt is always a hit because it makes a fun game out getting to know each other. My students get a kick out of the game Two Truths and a Lie because, for once, they are actually given permission to fib!

But I'm always open to new ideas. Please do share your go-to Ice Breaker activities in the comments section here. How do you facilitate your new students getting to know each other?
