Join The Dear Mr. President Project

The Dear Mr. President Project is a fun and educational way to combine writing and civics into one easy, impactful lesson. Work with your students to submit writings or drawings by January 20th, expressing their hopes and dreams for the nation to President-Elect Barack Obama. The top 50 submissions will be compiled into a book and given to the President in February. Wow. If that's not a motivating and inspiring project, I don't know what is.

As a teacher, what are your deepest hopes for our new president's term in office? I would be happy to see Mr. Obama's optimism and eloquence inspire an updated, modern vision for our schools, backed up with well-researched, tangible support at the state level.
