What Your Principal Wants to See in Your Classroom

When your classroom door opens and it's your principal arriving for an official observation of your teaching, it's hard not to get a case of the nerves, no matter how long you've been teaching. But there's no need to panic - stay calm and keep in mind that your principal (or any other visitor to your classroom) really wants to see good teaching and here's what good teaching looks like to outside observers.

So, take a deep breath and give your evaluators what they are looking for. Most likely, you're already doing all the right things. Don't worry!
