Finding just the right report card comment can be a very daunting task. Whatever you choose to say can have a profound impact on the student, and their parents. Remember to always try to make a positive spin on anything negative you might want to convey. Choose "goals to work on" rather than saying the student is not a pleasure to have in class.

Here are some more tips:

• Use the words "needs to" or "goals to work on"
• Use words such as, requires, struggles, or seldom, to show when a child needs extra help.
