Book Adventure

BookAdventure! Learn about an easy and exciting way for your students to practice reading comprehension skills and earn prizes for their work. And it's free! This is the second year I've used BookAdventure.com in my classroom with my third graders. On this free and easy-to-use site, children can sign up and start taking reading comprehension quizzes which earn them points. They can then turn these points in for prizes from the site's sponsors or in-class incentives designed by the teacher. For example, my children like to turn in points they've accumulated from the multiple choice quizzes to get "Choose Your Seat for the Day" coupons for use in our classroom. If this sounds like an interesting and effective way to bolster reading comprehension in your classroom, check it out and put it to work. I don't think you'll regret it! (And I forgot to mention that my kids love it!)
