Fires in CaliforniaWe may not have Snow Days here in California, but students are getting an unexpected break from school due to our current horrific natural disaster. For the first time that anyone can remember in San Diego history, all school has been cancelled for two straight days. County-wide, teachers, students, and administrators are all reeling from the direct and indirect effects of the incredible fires raging all around us. Many people, myself included, have come face-to-face with what's most important in our lives, gathering up our loved ones and most irreplaceable belongings. Fortunately, my husband and I did not have to evacuate our home, but we were ready as the fires were spewing jet black smoke not too far from us. Please keep all southern Californians in mind as we help our neighbors and our beloved city recover from the unstoppable force of nature ravaging in our backyard.01:07 AM # Graphic Organizers Portal from ScholasticScholastic's Graphic Organizers Portal offers educators at all levels easy, ready-to-use tools that help you and your students both organize and make sense of important information.
