Objectives:

  • To learn Spanish vocabulary words for classroom objects

Lesson goals:

Communication

Language skills:

  • Student will be able to comprehend vocabulary list written on the board.
  • SWBAT...make bingo cards by drawing pictures from the vocabulary list.
  • SWBAT...hear vocabulary words and match those with the corresponding picture on their bingo card

Vocabulary:

expressive-cuaderno, estudiante, escritorio, hoja de papel, lapiz, libro, mesa, pizarra, pluma, profesor, profesora, puerta, pupitre, silla, ventana, borrador, computadora, mapa, regla, television, cartel, silla, messa and basurero.

Anticipartory set:

go over date and weather

Presentation of new material:

  • Show students around the classroom what the words on their vocab list are.
  • Students will make bingo cards by drawing their vocab words on the cards.

Production practice:

  • mechanical-listening for called vocab words during bingo
  • meaningful-choose which vocab words will go on the bingo cards

Closure/Assesment:

Check bingo cards for completeness, award points for winners of games Assignments: STUDY!!!
