Averages and Medians Worksheet

A Math Worksheet For Elementary School Students

By , About.com Guide

AVERAGES (MEANS) AND MEDIANS

To find the average of a group of numbers, you add them all up and then divide by how many there are.

To find the median of a group of numbers, you put the numbers in order (from least to greatest or greatest to least – it doesn’t matter) and then find the number that is in the middle. If two numbers are in the middle, you find the average of those two numbers to get the median.

DIRECTIONS: Find the average and the median of each group of numbers.
