Looking ahead to a new school year, attention turns to lesson plans, school supplies, desk arrangements, and textbooks. But what about your educational philosophy? Remember that reason why you got into teaching in the first place? Perhaps you've never even thought about your fundamental beliefs since you studied to earn your teaching credential. I recommend taking some time to revisit and reflect on your philosophy as a way to freshen up your commitment to students, the community, and the educational system in general.
What is your educational philosophy?

The forest instead of the trees in elementary education? My philosophy is to focus on reading skills, number sense and independent problem solving. These are the skills kids need for success. Everything else can, and pretty much will, come later. K5 Learning
I believe that each child is unique and it is a teacher’s duty to find a student’s strengths and build on them; find a student’s weaknesses and help them overcome them. I always taught a lot by example–I got respect because I respected my students; I had discipline because I respected the rights of all students to learn in a classroom that was peaceful–not always quiet–but under control! If you realize that you’ve been given a year to do your part in shaping a child’s future, you’ve got your task in perspective!
My philosophy in teaching is based on individual differences, before coming into class I thought about how to get the highest degree of language according to ones ’steps and to get the most from each student accordingly.
